Basic Space
I've become addicted to The XX. I don't know why their songs are so catchy! The cool thing about the XX is that the band makes soft sounding music yet...They express strong ideas throughout their lyrics. My song was Basic Space, a favorite of mine. The song is very mellow and groovy. It reminds me of a deep based salsa song. The various themes in the song make what would ideally be a really boring song into something...really interesting. Basic Space changes themes various times throughout the song. It's exciting and relaxing, loud and soft, groovy and staccato. It's energizing! But...it's not a high-energy, "let's get pumped up" song. It's hard to explain what it is...But it's definitely a song worth listening to.

Well sir, it IS your job to explain. Try to articulate the emotions the music gives to you. It has an intimate feel to it. A headphone song...they are singing to the individual. The party/club...althought the right sound...is not playing this song. The remix will provide that.
